I love Julia and Will’s story because it’s so cute and funny. In 2017, Julia got a phone call from a salesman named Will and agreed to meet him in person. Apparently, Will was pretty persistent. After a month, she accepted a position from another company, and she told Will she wouldn’t be working with him anymore. With that conflict in interest out of the way, Will asked her out! Their Cypress Valley wedding turned out beautiful with its fall theme and unique touches.
Memorable Wedding Moments
One of my favorite touches from the wedding was Julia’s letter to her future husband. She had written a letter to her future husband when she was eighteen and sealed it in an envelope with the intention of opening it one day. Julia says, “It was the perfect display of the love and authenticity I hoped our day would be filled with.”
Julia’s favorite moment came through her mother while Julia was getting ready. Julia’s mother told her how Will was so excited to marry her. She said he was joyful, and she was so happy to see Julia have a man who was so full of emotion and elated to marry her. Even though Julia didn’t see Will until she walked down the aisle, her mother’s description made her feel deeply connected to him and reminded her what the day was about.
Fall Cypress Valley Wedding
Even though their wedding in late September fell on a hot day, Julia was adamant about bringing in aspects from her favorite season: fall. She had always dreamed of a woodsy, autumn wedding. When she and Will drove up to their venue in Spicewood, they were surrounded by treehouses and connecting tree bridges. This helped Julia’s dream come true! They said their vows under cypress trees while on a bridge suspended forty feet in the air. Cypress Valley is one of the most unique wedding venues in the Austin area, since you are right in the middle of a forest.
For their theme, they had maple leaves and pumpkins to tie the theme together, and they had a custom-made tree that served as the guest book. Julia’s sister also made leaf cookies. When you have an incredible backdrop of nature at your venue, you really don’t need too much decor! You can focus on the surroundings.
Julia and Will’s Cypress Valley wedding was certainly magical and unique. It was so much fun to shoot, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to work with such a fun couple. I’d love to work with you too! Feel free to reach out to me!
