Sarah and Andy actually had a destination wedding in North Carolina, which was great because I love traveling for weddings! Destination weddings always end up being so much fun for everyone. They had a Hawkesdene Estate wedding, and it was beautiful. It felt like a real getaway, especially for all of the guests.
All Weekend Long
This Hawkesdene Estate wedding was really more like a vacation for the guests. They played games like dodgeball and did arts and crafts! The bachelor and bachelorette parties were on separate nights, and they had a different type of hosted dinner every night. Sarah and Andy really worked hard to make it an unforgettable experience for their guests.
Their actual reception was a wild party! When those guests hit the dance floor, it got nuts! You can definitely see from the photos how much fun everyone had.
Hawkesdene Estate Wedding
This is an amazing venue, so I wanted to highlight it a bit. Hawkesdene Estates is in mountain country in Andrews, North Carolina. It’s actually 54 acres, so it’s really private. If you book them, there’s no one on-site, but you, your guests, and Hawkesdene’s staff. You really have the freedom to make your wedding weekend what you want and create a vacation for your guests, just like Sarah and Andy. No matter what you need or what kind of space you’re looking for, Hawkesdene Estate has you covered!
It’s also an absolutely beautiful venue with cottages, an open-air pavilion, covered bridge, and gardens. Not to mention, you’re surrounded by these big, amazing trees, which I loved highlighting in the pictures.
To end their Hawkesdene Estate wedding, Sarah and Andy did a day after session, which is always a great idea! When you book a day after session for your wedding, we’re able to get pictures of you and your new spouse in your venue when things are more relaxed. You really have the chance to slow down and get some incredible photos after the wedding is over. It’s such a great opportunity.
