Carolann and Lorenzo met at work – but it took some time before they connected. She was a manager of a local restaurant, and he was transferring as a bartender from another location. At first, she thought was a bit arrogant – but she came to find out he actually did know everything! Over time Carolann realized he had a beautiful and big heart and was very trustworthy.
At first, they were cordial since she was management and he was staff, but after some texting back and forth over an Ole Miss and ATM game, she agreed to go out with him for drinks. And from there it was a whirlwind! They dated for a while, separated for about a year, but found themselves drawn back to each other. They were always hanging out, and realized that they were meant to be together, and they became official and never looked back!
Relaxed Spanish Romance at Lost Mission
When they started planning their wedding, Carolann knew exactly which venue she wanted. She had picked out Lost Mission almost 1.5 years before they got engaged. She knew she was going to marry Lorenzo (he might not have known it yet, but she did!). Her favorite part of Lost Mission is that it is secluded and private, but not too rustic. This venue has a Spanish feel, with elegant details. While their dog, Jack, couldn’t attend the wedding, they made sure to include photos of him at the reception so he was still there in spirit.
To keep with the Spanish design of their venue, their inspiration for their wedding day was relaxed Spanish romance. Their goal was to keep it romantic, but also fun and comfortable for their guests. They forgot a few things throughout the wedding day, like foam glow sticks for the reception, but it was all okay! It was more important to them to be together.
Enjoy The Little Moments
When it comes to tips for couples planning their wedding, Carolann’s biggest tip is sneaking away to steal a little time with your new spouse. There are so many people around you, but her most fond memory was being with Lorenzo and seeing her husband’s face and smile. In fact, her favorite picture is just the two of them kissing when they thought no one was looking. They were so happy I was there to capture that sweet moment.
As a wedding photographer, I want to make sure my couples are not just comfortable in front of the camera but feel like they can enjoy their day. I’ll make sure to step back at times to let everything happen, without being in everyone’s face! My goal is to photograph every little moment, including those little kisses in between toasts and dancing. If you are looking for a photographer, I would love to chat!
